George Lucas,
Darth Maul, Yoda, and the Emperor were all played by the same person
- Darren Scales who also appeared as himself in the same shot as
George Lucas!
There is
a concrete frog featured in the film - can you find it?
How many
times is there a grille fixed to the wall of a location?
All lines
in the "making of" studio sketches were improvised
Did you
spot the cameo appearance of a charcter from our first 2 films -
Who is it?
Because
of the detail and time taken to do the make up, all scenes featuring
Darth Maul were filmed in one day.
It took
2 months to build the Emperor's Throne Room, 2 months to build the
Transport ship, 1 day to build the Jedi Council, 1 day to build
the Naboo Palace, 6 hours to build the corridor!
The 25 second
shot of the BYP logo at the beginning of the film took the computer
over 30 hours to calculate!

The lightsaber
effect called "rotoscoping", used in the 2 minutes of Maul and Anakin's
fight took over 36 real time hours to complete.
Many of
the blue screens did not work and we relied on post production to
"clean up" the background shots.
To do this
each frame of footage had to be painted. Thats 25 frames per second,
somethimes taking over 30 seconds each to paint and the film is
42 minutes long - you do the maths!
All of the
sketches in the "making of..."are improvised e.g. during the 'box'
sketch when the camera man slips. John is slipping for real - everyone
just reacts as if it is part of the acting - well done team!
