Sue’s silver screenplay success

October 19, 2011

Many congratulations to our star screenwriter Sue Morris, whose screenplay Second Glance picked up the Silver Prize in the Drama category of the 2011 PAGE International Screenwriting Awards. This annual competition is one of the biggest and most highly regarded in the world. Sue’s screenplay was one of 1,100 entries in the Drama category and was shortlisted down to the final ten before the announcement of the winners on 15 October. Now the details of the winning screenplays, including Sue’s, will be promoted and passed on to producers, agents, managers and executives in HOLLYWOOD and the rest of the industry – a fantastic opportunity to get her work noticed!

Second Glance is a contemporary drama/thriller, set in the US.

Logline: Five years after quitting his job as a homicide cop, a newly appointed small-town sheriff struggles to uncover the truth about an apparent suicide. But as he becomes intrigued by a witness he’s sure he’s seen somewhere before, he unwittingly puts both their lives in danger.

Sue is a vital player in the Backyard Productions machine, where she has contributed her screenwriting talents to Cinders and the IOV award-winning Sugar Cubes. Sue is now developing the storyline and script of THE DRIFT along with our Executive Bully Darren Scales. With an award-winning writer like Sue on the team, The Drift will be something very special.
